The names John Bauer and Ester is in memory of the famous artist John Bauer (1882-1918) and his wife Ester Ellqvist (1880-1918). They had a fondness for the nature, which we share with them and are aiming for our guests to experience through the food and beverage. We are offering a seasonal menu with a huge focus on locally produced and organic commodities. If you visit John Bauer Hotel during Christmas we can offer our delicious and traditional Swedish Christmas table. Apart from a wonderful and tasty restaurant, we also offer great accommodation. The rooms are newly renovated with fresh, tasteful designs and super comfortable beds. Depending on what you prefer, we offer a lot of different room categories. We have our very popular Japan and Africa themed rooms, and if you want to spoil yourself a bit more we can recommend our luxurious suites. It is a fantastic room with an interesting interior from the designers Elisabeth and Judith from Levande Lejon design. Most of the rooms are designed inspired by John Bauers art.
